Long before the Steam Age came to the Iron Kingdoms, stories tell of a fabled city that was inhabited by elves rumored to live forever.
Watching over mankind in the world around them, the elves were also responsible for raising and training a special breed of warrior astride a special breed of mount.
The world was different then, powerful dragons roamed the earth and lived along side man kind. Their struggle for power was everlasting, but in the kingdom of Atlantis it was told that man and dragon could find common ground.
Here their petty differences were cast aside. Here they learned to work together. Here, dragons and men bound together to fight the evils of the world to make their lands into a better place.
It is rumored that the immortal elves of Atlantis were slain by a powerful set of dragons that hated the idea of beholding their kind to a simple man. These same dragons were also rumored to have swept over the world and lay everything to waste, man and dragon alike. It is told that these dragons then became bored with their empty and barren world, so they slept. Man kind eventually reemerged and became the predominate species on the planet, and a few other races that weathered the storm also took their place among them. Legend says that, should these powerful dragons ever wake once more, a new apocalypse would sweep the world and history would repeat itself once more.
